Job Vacancy: Receptionist and Hospitality Assistant

Heath House Conference Centre in Uttoxeter provides meeting rooms, serviced offices and virtual offices. We are looking for a motivated, trustworthy and reliable individual who is customer focused and has an eye for detail.

The role is diverse. It includes basic receptionist and administrative duties, combined with hospitality for conference guests.

The role is part-time / casual and will include some ad-hoc hours.

Job Purpose:

Maintain the smooth running of the reception office; help customers with meeting room enquiries and bookings and looking after conference guests.

Duties:

The role includes but is not limited to:
Answering the telephone, taking telephone messages, transferring telephone calls.
Helping customers with conference and meeting room enquiries, checking room availability, taking conference bookings, updating calendar entries, tracking conference bookings using excel, and confirming bookings via e-mail.
Looking after serviced and virtual office customers, taking telephone messages and transferring calls.
Looking after conference guests by providing a warm welcome and acquainting them with the facilities within the building, making tea and coffee, serving food.
Helping to ensure the smooth running of conference events by clearing meeting rooms and setting up for conference events.
You will sometimes be called upon to wash dishes and help with other ad-hoc duties which ensure the smooth running of the venue.

Skills/Qualifications:

Office Experience – General, Familiar with Microsoft Office, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Typing, Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Dependability, Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills, Customer service skills, Hospitality skills.

Hours:

Currently, the role is casual / part time.
Hours will vary.
We are particularly looking for someone to cover afternoons: Typically, 2:15pm to 5:30 / 6:30pm. Times vary depending upon customer requirements so we are looking for someone with flexibility and a willingness to work at varying hours. Hours are agreed on a weekly basis. Some early mornings, late evening and weekends will be requested periodically.
