Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to hire a training room for a day?

We believe in total budget control and complete transparency. Unlike venues that tie you into a rigid Day Delegate Rate (DDR), or who force you to enquire before you get a quote, our transparent, service-based pricing allows you to control your costs. Whether you need a simple room hire or a fully catered event, you only pay for what you need.

And here is the link so that you can see the pricing instantly.

What is your cancellation policy and what if I have low participant numbers?

Once upon a time, we also provided open training courses, so we have a unique understanding of how quickly logistics can change. So when it comes to planning open courses, we are happy to work with you to help you avoid unnecessary costs.

Our standard cancellation policy is 10 working days’ but we are happy to work with collaboratively with training providers. Please contact our team directly to discuss your specific requirements and how we can support you if your participant numbers shift.

Can I hire a small training room for half a day?

Yes. For smaller groups, one-to-one coaching, or focus groups, we offer hourly and half-day training room hire—a cost-effective solution designed to help training providers.

What is included in an all-inclusive training venue package?

The simple answer is no. We believe in absolute transparency, so we’ve designed our service to remove all “hiring anxiety.” When you book a training room at Heath House, all the essentials are included at no extra cost.

Your hire package comes fully equipped with:

  • Connectivity: High-speed, managed Wi-Fi.

  • Presentation Tech: Large HD screens for crystal-clear visuals.

  • Workshop Tools: Flipcharts and markers.

  • Delegate Refreshments: Complimentary iced water.

  • On-Site Support: Our dedicated event staff will greet your guests, ensure your room is perfectly set up, and remain on hand to assist with any technical questions throughout the day.

What makes a professional training room layout effective?

There is no “one-size-fits-all” answer. The most effective layout depends entirely on your learning objectives. To help you choose the best configuration for your event, consider these three common training scenarios:

  • For Briefings and Presentations: If your primary goal is to disseminate information to a large audience, a theatre-style layout is highly effective. Please note, however, that this setup is rarely suitable for all-day workshops where delegate interaction and practical tasks are required.

  • For Skills-Based and Practical Training: A boardroom setup is a powerful choice for intensive sessions. It provides generous desk space, making it ideal when delegates need to work with detailed course workbooks, use their own laptops, or engage in focused, whole-group discussions.

  • For Collaboration and Peer-to-Peer Learning: If your course relies on group interaction, a classroom layout offers a distinct advantage. By naturally partitioning the room into smaller clusters, it encourages delegates to engage in collaborative tasks and hands-on problem-solving away from the main group.

Can I get on-site catering for a full-day workshop?

We believe a productive training day shouldn’t be interrupted by a stressful scramble for lunch. All catering is provided by our on-site restaurant, Heath House Kitchen, meaning your delegates can enjoy a fresh, scratch-cooked meal without ever needing to leave the premises—and importantly, without blowing your budget.

This seamless service is a cornerstone of our catered meeting venue hire packages. By providing high-quality, nutritious food, we help you combat the common “afternoon slump,” ensuring your team stays in the “learning zone” and fully engaged throughout the session.

The quality of our corporate event catering is a primary reason that so many professional organisers return to Heath House year after year. Whether you need healthy lunch menus or a bespoke business service, our team is dedicated to supporting the success of your event.
