We have four training rooms at Heath House Conference Centre. Each training room is fully equipped with everything you need for a successful training event, and each room has natural daylight and ventilation.
Use the links below to explore each of the training spaces.
The capacity of each training room is shown further down the page.
The training rooms have the flexibility to be set up in different seating arrangements to suit the type of training you are providing. We will take the time to understand your training needs and help you to find the most appropriate layout for your training event.
In a boardroom layout, delegates sit around a single central table.
This layout is useful for skills based training. It is versatile and lends itself to a combination of presentations, and tutor led discussion. The central tables give delegates plenty of space which can be useful if delegates are using workbooks or need to use laptops.
There are two commonly used versions of classroom style layout.
The traditional version is reminiscent of the Victorian classroom where delegates sit at a desk, in rows, with everyone facing the tutor.
This is arguably the correct use of the term “classroom layout” . However, the term classroom layout is more commonly used to describe a cluster seating arrangement where delegates sit in groups around a table as shown in the diagram below. This is how we will use the term.
This layout is useful for skills based training which includes discussion or group work. The tutor is able to divide delegates into groups. Each group can discuss a topic or work together to solve a problem.
In a cabaret style seating arrangement, delegates sit around the table. Some delegates will have their back to the presenter, so this layout is not recommended for traditional training events where delegates need to be able to see a presentation or listen to a tutor.
The theater style set up derives it’s name from theatres and lecture theatres.
The seating arrangement includes chairs and no tables.
This training room layout is ideal for briefings which impart information. It is great for training which requires a ‘talk-at’ approach but it is not appropriate for a training course which require training materials, or which require discussion.
The U-shape training layout is useful for encouraging discussion and engagement. Delegates can see the trainer and each other easily. The disadvantage of this layout is that it often cannot accommodate as many delegates as some of the other layouts.
